Warranty and Return Policy

LES implements two separate Warranty & Return policies. One applicable to lamps sold under our LES brand name and the other for our custom-made-to-order products. Listed below is our policy for products sold under the LES brand name. For our custom products, please contact us for further details.

In order to return items from Light Energy Source, Inc. you must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

General: Prices in effect at time of shipment, subject to change without notice. Seller reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions at its sole discretion by giving notice of the same to the Buyer.

TERMS:

PayPal, Check (order shipped after check has cleared), Money Order, Cash

Freight charges are added to invoices. All Freight charges include packing and insurance. All orders of less than a full case are charged a $9.00 handling fee. All orders of a single full case are charged a $12.00 handling fee. These fees are charged to cover the cost of protective shipping cartons to assure safe delivery as shown below:

Shipments will be held on any balance over 45 days. Interest at the maximum legal rate will be charged on past-due accounts. Customer agrees to pay all cost of collection, including court costs and attorney's fees.

RETURNING PRODUCTS:

Merchandise cannot be returned without written consent and must include the RMA number provided. Request for permission to return must be made within 30 days of original invoice date. Thereafter, all sales are final. All merchandise returned without authorization will be refused. The retuned package must be received within 10 days of the RMA issue date. If you need to return an item because of a mistake in ordering, please note that there is a 35% restocking fee plus freight charges to and from. All returns must have an RMA number accompanying the merchandise at the time of the return. Returns without RMA numbers are subject to a possible 50% restocking fee plus freight to and from. Products returned must be in the original package and in perfect working order.

If you need to return an item because of material defects we will gladly replace or refund all monies for product and shipping subject to the Warranty Terms outlined below.

For all products sold in single lamp to full case quantities, LES has taken great care to design outer protective shipping cartons to assure products reach our customers undamaged. Upon receipt of product, LES must be notified by the customer within 48 hours of any product damage due to shipping. If the package appears damaged to a point where harm may have occurred to the contents, it is the customers responsibility to inspect the contents before accepting the delivery from the carrier.  No returns or replacements will be accepted for damaged items without proper documentation.

WARRANTY TERMS:

All products purchased are warranted to be free of defect in material and workmanship in normal use. Products should only be used in appropriate equipment designed with those products and constructed for use with such products. Improper or abnormal use or use in defective equipment voids all warranty. In the case of defective material or workmanship, we will at our sole option, repair or replace. THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND EXCLUDE ANY OTHER WARRANTY OR REMEDIES. Seller neither assumes nor authorizes any other person to assume for it any other obligation or liability or to grant any additional warranty. Buyer shall not be entitled to recover from seller any consequential damage, damages to property, damages for loss of use, loss of time, loss of profits or income or any other incidental damages.

Warranty items are not returnable for credit but will be replaced or repaired at the suppliers option.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:

Our lamps are manufactured with the highest quality of materials and stringent workmanship. Some lamps are manufactured for certain requirements which may effect the performance on other applications. Due to many improvements and alterations for quality and other conditions, current ratings may vary from published material. All Sales are made for customer's satisfaction subject to our return policy. If a particular use is contemplated by a purchaser, we suggest that a sample be ordered for inspection and approval prior to purchace.

Shipment: We reserve the right to use our own discretion, as to which carrier is to be used on any freight allowed shipment. Shipment will be made in any manner requested by the customer, if the customer will assume any additional transportation cost.  Above terms, conditions and warranties are final. No others expressed or implied.

DAMAGE AND SHORTAGE CLAIMS:

Our responsibility for safe delivery ceases when the transportation company receives shipment in good condition. We will, however, make a claim for you if have you correctly notated any damage or shortage on the bill of lading. All notations for damage or shortage must be signed by driver delivering freight to you. Make sure the driver signs your copy! You must send us a copy of the notated freight bill within 48 hours. If you fail to do any of the above, you will have to pay us for the merchandise in question in full.

Freight Lines Note: On all air shipments either by UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express or other applicable carrier, unless paid by credit card, we will require your shipper number with these carriers to process your order. We will not ship any air shipment at our cost. These extraneous shipping charges will not be added to your invoice.
