Please note: T10 bulbs are engineered to work with most standard magnetic ballasts and are therefore designed to replace most T12 lamps.  However, in compliance with International ANSI Standards, all T10's operate at a slightly higher voltage than a T12 and may not be appropriate for all installations.  If you have outdated fixtures, or are aware of low inflow line voltage, check your ballast label to confirm it is designed to operate F40T10 lamps before ordering.

The T10 line of fluorescent lamps represents a technological breakthrough in fluorescent lighting. T10 lamps feature longer life and higher lumen output over standard T12 lamps. To achieve this performance, T10's utilize a smaller diameter envelope than T12's, as shown above. These 40 watt lamps operate on most exiting F40 Rapid Start or Preheat circuits.

The LES EnergySource 950 (ES950) T10 offers a balanced full spectrum "white" light at 5000K and a high CRI at 91 which is ideal for all applications. It provides high illumination, outstanding color rendition, and extended life. Our ES950 offers a significant increase in usable lumens compared to standard cool white lamps. Additionally, like our Life-Lite lamps, the ES950 utilizes a phosphor blend that is scotopically enhanced, offering a high Scotopic/Photopic lumen ratio.

This improves the lamps performance with regard to increased "see-ability",  the greatest visual efficiency, comfort, and a reduction in eye strain that is found in common fluorescent lamps. As a result, this Kelvin temperature is widely utilized in many medial applications including X-ray viewers.

In many cases to improve energy consumption, customers replace four 4-ft cool white lamps with two of our 4-ft ES950 F40T10 lamps and maintain existing light levels, thereby improving the quality of the light source while reducing energy consumption.

Look at what you could save if your lighting system operated just 12 hours per day with the LES EnergySource 950 F40T10:

(example based on typical 20,000 sq. ft. building where 75% of the area is lit, approximately 100 fixtures would be needed)

Reduced Heat Load:

Additionally, there are further savings associated with the above example.  Using the average heat output of a typical 4-lamp T12 fixture of 304 Btu/hr that is contributed to the conditioned space, a 50% reduction in heat load is also realized, or 152 Btu/hr. Using the same number of fixtures from the above example, 15,200Btu’s/hr are effectively eliminated from the HVAC system. At 12,000 Btu per ton, the equivalent of 1.26 tons of cooling just for the lighting is eliminated. For a multi-story building this cumulative savings can be the difference between being able to keep a space cool on an unseasonably hot day or losing control and having complaints or worse yet equipment failure. Industry experts agree that for every 1 kWh of lighting reduced, the equivalent of 30%-40% in corresponding HVAC load will be produced, thus the savings per fixture increases by the same or greater value.

This lamp is also excellent for Plant Growth where the lamp of choice for the application is a Full Spectrum lamp. It offers a dramatic increase in lumen output over a standard cool white T12 lamp thereby enhancing overall plant growth.
